Wembley Joy For Villa – Tears For The Baggies

Aston Villa is Wembley bound after we ended West Brom promotion hopes at the Hawthorns tonight. Our club has secured its place in this seasons Playoff final, after winning a penalty shoot-out. This group of players have done us Villans proud and not just tonight. Once again, they showed real character in the face of adversity, In what was a hostile environment. The big question now is can Villa go one better than last season?

Yes, and I say that confidently, without any shadow of a doubt we can. I have always thought whoever progressed from this semi-final, would go on to win at Wembley. Of course, we have unfinished business, but that alone is not going to win us promotion. But what will, is our talented team, and the team spirit and togetherness which has developed within the squad, which is a testament to Dean Smith’s and his coaching staff.

Que Será, Será Wembley! Wembley!

So Villa is now only ninety minutes away from returning to the premier league at the third attempt. If Dean Smith pulls this off, he will have achieved it without a pre-season, and at the first time of asking. Taking into consideration what he walked into eight months ago, It will be some achievement.

I am trying not to get ahead of myself, but we do have very wealthy owners waiting in the wings. Who could potentially flex their financial muscle when we achieve premier league status. However, tonight is all about celebrating this Win. I will talk about the potential Villa have to compete under our new owner’s after we have completed the job on May 27th at Wembley.

So enjoy the remainder of your evening Villans, We have knocked out the baggies. And booked our date at Wembley, I think it’s only right that I raise a glass tonight.
